This past April, I had the privilege of documenting Sofía and Erick’s story — a couple who chose to celebrate their love surrounded by nature, family, and heartfelt emotion. The wedding took place at the charming Rancho San Isidro, nestled in the hills of Lagunillas, Michoacán. This scenic location, framed by mountains and open skies, made for the perfect setting for an intimate, authentic, and deeply meaningful celebration. From the very beginning, it was clear this wouldn’t be just another wedding — it was a story built with patience, care, and true connection.
The ceremony was held outdoors, with a breathtaking view of the Michoacán countryside. The couple exchanged vows beneath a rustic arch adorned with wildflowers and warm tones that blended beautifully with the natural landscape. Sofía walked down the aisle with a quiet emotion that could be felt in the air, while Erick waited with eyes full of tenderness. The atmosphere was magical: soft laughter, knowing glances, and a genuine bond among every guest. It was the kind of ceremony where not only the couple’s love is celebrated, but also the joining of two families.
After the ceremony, the reception struck the perfect balance between tradition and laid-back joy. Local food, music, handmade details, and warm lights created an atmosphere full of life. One of the most special moments came at sunset, when we slipped away for a short portrait session around the ranch — just the two of them, surrounded by hills, soft breeze, and that golden light that felt like a gentle hug. It’s in moments like these that I remember exactly why I love what I do.
